THINKING PATTERNS...

"WHAT YOU THINK IS WHAT YOU ARE"

The knowledge of Thinking Patterns and the ability to control these patterns can make a large difference in our communication with others.The representations of various events in our brain by various people and the usage of these representations,ideas,memories vary from person to person.This we call our Individual Representation Systems.
NLP assumes that internal mental processes such as problem solving, memory, and language consist of visual, auditory, kinesthetic (and possibly olfactory and gustatory) representations (often shortened to VAK or VAKOG) that are engaged when people think about problems, tasks or activities, or engage in them.
NLP techniques generally aim to change behavior through modifying the internal representations, examining the way a person represents a problem and by building desirable representations of alternative outcomes or goals. In addition, Bandler and Grinder claimed that the representational system use could be tracked using eye movements, gestures, breathing, sensory predicates and other cues in order to improve rapport and social influence.

NLP: PRE-SUPPOSITIONS

The Presuppositions of NLP
-------------------------------------------------

* The map is not the territory.
Our mental maps of the world are not the actual world,we respond directly to our maps rather than to the original world.So expand your mental world.

* Experience has a structure.
The ability to change the process by which we experience reality is more often valuable than changing the content of our experience of reality.Our thoughts of memory have a pattern,when we change that pattern,our experiences automatically chenge.Thus we can neutralise our unpleasant memories and enrich our happiest memories.

* The meaning of the communication is the response you get.

* There is a positive intention motivating every behavior, and a context in which every behavior has value.

* The resources an individual needs in order to effect a change are already within them.

* We cannot NOT communicate
All distinctions human beings are able to make concerning our environment and our behavior can be usefully represented through the visual, auditory, kinesthetic, olfactory, and gustatory senses.

* If one person can do something,anyone can learn to do it.

* The mind and body are the parts of the same system.

* There is no Failure only Feedback
All results and behaviors are achievements, whether they are desired outcomes for a given task/context, or not.

* People are always making the best choice available to them.

* If what you are doing is not working,do something else or do anything else.

NLP-FACTS,TECHNIQUES,MODELS...

Richard Bandler , John Grinder

Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) was co-created by Richard Bandler and linguist John Grinder in the 1970s.NLP is a technique which can act as an owners manual for our brain.

" We were given 'brains' but no instruction manual.
NLP offers a 'User Manual' to our brain."

Definition of NLP:

Neuro: refers to our nervous system through which experiences are received,processed through our sense organs.

Linguistic:language and non-verbal communication system through which neural representations are coded,ordered and given exact meaning.

Programming: the ability to organize opur communication to achieve specific goals and results.

The basic questions that NLP will hwlp you to answer are...

* How to run your own mind?

* How to effectively represent your experiences?

* How to take charge of your states(Physical or Mental)?

* How to develop effective Strategies for everyday life?

* How to make things happen in your way?

* How to achieve your maximum potential?
